Although the inferior video quality was apparent in webcams 1.0, not too many of us complained because of the innovative concept. After all, it was the first time we could connect a camera to our computer and use it for conferences and security purposes. Not to mention, making home movies of family and friends took on a whole new meaning. However, as technology progressed, the drawbacks of webcams quickly became apparent.
