The X-1 arrived safely, packed in two boxes. After removing the first box, I was surprised to see such a nice looking box for the X-1. The outside was all nice and glossy, and there were big full color pictures of the case as well. Although this really has no effect on the product itself, it was definitely a cut above the normal cardboard box many cases are packaged in. The case was lodged inside between two large pieces of Styrofoam and was further protected by a plastic bag. There was also a layer of peel off plastic on each side of the side panel window.
