The product is expected to garner the endorsement of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola, who is scheduled to take part in the keynote of RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser Wednesday at Real Conference 2000 in San Jose, Calif.
RealSystem 8 includes RealVideo 8, developed by both RealNetworks and Intel (stock: INTC). RealVideo 8 scales from narrowband to broadband delivering VHS quality for DSL and cable modem users, and full-motion DVD quality at 1Mpbs, said Ben Rotholtz, general manager systems and tools, at RealNetworks.
