Rio, although not as popular as some of the other MP3 player manufacturers, does produce rather well designed and quality competent products. Not too long ago, we evaluated the company's Rio Carbon model, which was the plain gray variant of what we are about to take a look at today. Soon after Rio introduced the regular Rio Carbon MP3 player, it went ahead and announced a special Pearl Edition, which doesn't propose additional features except the color scheme.
