Samsung ML-4500 Laser Printer Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 04/24/2001 11:36 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

I am Not a Geek dot com has posted a review on the Samsung ML-4500

No matter what resolution or what I was printing and how full the pages were, the print speed stayed very close to it´s rated speed of 8ppm, though I never got as far high as 8ppm. The fastest speed it printed at was about 7.5ppm which is pretty good, and I assume Samsung just rounded up. Often rated ppm speeds can be a page or even two higher then actuality. Even when printing almost full page pictures it did over 7 pages per minute. There was a bit of a delay for transfer time to the printer, and then for the printer to warm up. Samsung says it takes 45 seconds for the ML-4500 to warm up but when I checked the time it was about 50 seconds.
