The SW-232B laid a good beating on our 16/10/40A with all of the seek time tests; however the read performance was a split number, two for the Plextor, two for the Samsung. Each of these tests however showed very little performance difference, one which the end user would not notice. If you’re currently looking into purchasing a new burner, I would definitely recommend this drive for its price / performance ratio, and noise level. It might not be the absolute fastest out there, offer all the bells and whistles of other drives, or be the best, but when you can purchase one of these drives online for prices around $70 USD, how could you go wrong?
