Age of Wonders: Planetfall is setting its sights pretty high. The Age of Wonders series has always been solid, but it’s never achieved the popularity of 4X strategy rivals like Civilization or Alpha Centauri, some of which I think can be chalked up to the series’ rather generic fantasy setting.

ENDGAME GEAR XM1 Gaming Mouse Review

When it comes time to look for a new gaming mouse, the categories break down into two major sections. First, are the feature-rich devices with tons of lighting options, a massive amount of buttons, wings, and software so involved it may get a bit confusing.

On the other hand, there is a group where the feature set may both have all of the latest and greatest options, it may not be the biggest mouse out there, the shape is simple yet effective, and when it comes to software, they keep it simple. HyperX Alloy FPS RGB Gaming Keyboard + White Double-Shot PBT Keycaps Review

HyperX’s “Alloy” line of gaming keyboards has grown over the years. One of their latest models is the Alloy FPS RGB. This is a full size mechanical keyboard that features Kailh’s Silver Speed switches, full RGB backlighting, a metal top-plate, removable USB cable, and a completely frameless design. This would be a great keyboard by itself, but today HyperX is introducing their new white double-shot PBT keycaps. So we will not only be testing out the Alloy FPS RGB, but we’ll throw these new keycaps on and see not only how they change the appearance of the keyboard, but also how it feels.

Nokia Beacon 1 Trio Review

Nokia joined the Wi-Fi market last year when it introduced the Beacon 3 in December, seven months later, on July 9th, they introduced Beacon 1 and with both units in house we start our journey with the latter; Beacon 1 Trio.

Beacon 1 is Nokia's second Wi-Fi system and the more budget-friendly of the two-current platforms. It is available as a single unit or as a three-pack; what Nokia calls Trio. This system uses application-based setup on both iOS and Android which also enables remote management along with a browser-based login to Nokia Wi-Fi Portal which gives you a large format option for monitoring your network at home or away.

Seagate Exos X16 16TB Enterprise HDD Review

Seagate recently launched its new 16TB HDDs which include the Exos enterprise drives. Today I have just that drive in the office for a closer look and a series of tests.

I keep being impressed by how much capacity Seagate manages to cramp into these type of drives, allowing them to stay as vital as ever. The Exos X16 I’m looking at today isn’t the first drive in the serious that I’m looking at and I’m sure it won’t be the last time either.
