Amateur digital photographers who'd like to be a bit less amateurish aren't well served by traditional photography books. A lot of the info in them's perfectly applicable to digital, but it'd be nice if there were a book that spent more time on example pictures and digital-relevant hints and tips, and less time on cross-processing and colour compensating your tungsten floods.Mikkel Aaland's "Shooting Digital" is that book. It's subtitled "Pro Tips for Taking Great Pictures with Your Digital Camera", and that ain't just hype. I've reviewed it here.
