Thanks to a modular design, VIA's newest chipsets tend to arrive all at once, as soon as a new Northbridge or Southbridge is available. Of course, when you only upgrade one chip, the other may be lagging behind a little, compared to the competition.
Today we are looking at Soltek's SL-K890 Pro939, which despite the name, is based on the K8T890 Northbridge (not the Pro version). It is paired up with last year's VT8237 Southbridge. Although it supports the latest Socket 939 CPU's and PCI-E, how does it stack up against the latest from NVIDIA overall?
