JDAlpha has posted a review of the Soundblaster Live! X-Gamer. Here a snip:
At the heart of every Soundblaster Live! Audio card is a single audio DSP (Digital Signal Processor)the EMU10K1, capable of processing 1000 MIPS (million instructions per second). As Creative is fond of pointing out, that's almost what a Pentium 90 CPU is capable of, meaning that there is plenty of hardware audio power to support the EAX algorithms during gameplay with minimal usage of system CPU cycles.
