ExtremeTech has posted a preview on AMD's Athlon 64 X2 CPU
We dig into the new desktop version of AMD's dual-core linethe Athlon 64 X2. The dual-core Opteron was faster than any of Intel's desktop chips, and the X2 is faster than the Opteron, so does that make it the best desktop processor on the planet?
