Tyan Transport GS12 and GX21 1U Rackmount Servers Review

Dan's Data has posted a review on the Tyan Transport GS12 and GX21 1U rackmount servers
Ever tried to buy a simple, basic, one unit rackmount server?
Ain't it amazing how hardware that doesn't do anything a desktop box can't can cost easily twice as much, when it's knocked over and squashed flat?
If all you want from life is a simple slimline server running a P4 or, maybe, a couple of basic Xeons, Tyan's Transport GS12 and GX21 compete surprisingly well against the bigger-brand opposition. To match Tyan on price, IBM and HP have to omit minor components like hard drives and CPUs.
