Ultrasone is new to the hi-fi headphone market, which is already populated by such high profile names as Sennheiser, AKG, Koss, Sony, and Grado. So what did Florian M. Koenig, founder and chief technical officer of Ultrasone, think he could bring to this market? Florian formed the company in 1990 after filing patents for his S-Logic Natural Surround Sound technology. All Ultrasone headphones feature this de-centric method of speaker placement which directs the sound towards the outer ear instead of down the ear canal. The result is a more open, natural sound.
