We first reviewed the Shuttle SS50 system back in March of this year. At the time of this launch, Shuttle was heralded as a leading innovator in the Small Form Factor (SFF) market with their popular SV24 s370 barebones. The SS50 brought P4 performance to the SFF market and instantly became a hit with its size, performance and features. Despites this success the SS50 wasn't perfect. Many gamers were left in the dust without the availability of an AGP slot and many complained that the noise of the SS50 was unacceptable. Gamers were stuck with PCI video upgrades from low end Radeon and GeForce2 lines and Shuttle released a bios version which had the Fan Guardian option which effectively cut noise in half.
