Hi Tech Legion has released a new article on the Vantec NexStar Super Speed USB 3.0 Hard Drive Docking Station
When looking at the bottom line the differences between USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 are remarkable. There was an average increase in performance of 290% on read speeds and an average increase in performance of 269% on write speeds using hard disk benchmarks. For file transfers showing the efficiency of USB 3.0 over USB 2.0 on a file transfer overall the USB 3.0 was 2 to 2.5 X faster than USB 2.0.
