Earlier this week, we reviewed a 5.25" bay accessory that worked as a robust digital fan controller and temp monitor, and as a hard drive cooler on the side. We saw some pretty decent performance from it, so I was very interested to see how something like the Vortex would perform.
The Vortex is a hard drive cooler, and nothing more. You have control over one fan - a rail fan for the hard drive. You can monitor the temperature of that drive as well. The Vortex also features a vibration dampening installation platform. We'll put it to the test, and see if it offers hardcore HDD cooling performance, or falls short of the other awesome cooler we looked at this week.
