We managed to take a closer look at the first mainboards based on the new Socket A chipset from VIA supporting DDR SDRAM - VIA KT266. They are: EPoX EP-8KHA, Gigabyte GA-7VTX and Shuttle AK32. We have to admit that the verdict doesn´t sound very positive so far, since these are just preproduction samples. However, they give us a more or less clear idea of what the mass products will look like.
