VIA PX266 Pentium 4 Chipset Preview

VIA Hardware has posted a preview on the VIA PX266 Pentium 4 Chipset.
Another new development is the confirmation from sources close to VIA that the PX266 will support 2 Northwood processors in SMP. However, it will NOT support Willamette processors in SMP, even Willamette processors using the 478 pin package. It appears the currently shipping Pentium 4 is not SMP capable in any form. Intelīs Foster part (Pentium 4 XEON), will not be supported by PX266 initially, but future products more server-oriented will support the XEON.
