Microsoft has released Visual Studio 2008 Shell (integrated mode) with Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package
The Visual Studio 2008 Shell (integrated mode) redistributable SP1 contains the runtime binaries needed to deploy your Visual Studio 2008 Shell (integrated mode) based application.
The Visual Studio Shell (integrated mode) provides the foundation on which you can integrate tools and programming languages within Visual Studio. By using the Visual Studio Shell (integrated mode), you will not need to make Visual Studio a pre-requisite on your users machines. This download contains the redistributable runtime binaries that you can distribute with your tools and/or programming languages that integrate with Visual Studio. This product was previously known as the Visual Studio Premier Partner Edition.
The runtime binaries contained in this redistributable package do not require the binary components in the Visual Studio 2008 Shell (integrated mode) RTM release. You should redistribute the runtime binaries contained in this redistributable package on all computers that need to run the Visual Studio 2008 Shell (integrated mode).
