With all of the solid state hard drives that came out this year it seems like traditional hard drives sort of took a back seat, unless you were looking to get a large capacity drive. One thing that many people may have overlooked was the availability of SATA 6GB/s drives. A SATA 6GB/s drive has double the transfer rate (6GB/s compared to 3GB/s) as the SATA II drive that is currently in your system.
