In our last major Windows 2000 article, we took a brief look at the MMC and how to add snap-ins. We also looked at how the Group Policy snap-in prevented unwanted 4-ways in your registry. Err... no we didn´t, but we saw how it could help you configure more of your Windows 2000 machine. You can read the article HERE if you haven´t seen it. Keep in mind that most of these tools are geared towards networks and system administration, but they can also be used by the insane tweaker in all of us.

This article will address the Performance Console, a snap-in designed to aid administrators and allow power users to diagnose performance issues and evaluate their systems. It´s relatively easy to use, but the possibilities are endless. Why crank out extra dough for performance monitors when you get the whole enchilada with your taco?
