Windows 8 issues with Windows Home Server revealed
Remember Windows Home Server? Microsoft's niche operating system hasn't gotten much love from the company of late but today, the official Windows Home Server blog has been updated for the first time in several months. The reason? Microsoft reveals some issues with the Windows 8 Consumer Preview OS when connecting to Windows Home Server-based machines.
If you have a PC that's running Windows Home Server 2011, the blog states that there are a number of issues when connecting to a PC with Windows 8 Consumer Preview installed. They include being asked for a credential when a person tries to access the share folders from the home group joined client computer. Other issues listed are having the thumbnail of the picture folder not displayed correctly in the Remote Web Access page and having the Power setting of the Client backup not working properly.
