Microsoft promised Windows Azure users affected by last weeks outage compensation for the down time in a blog entry posted today

Windows Azure outage refunds incoming
Steven Martin (no relation), the General Manager of Windows Azure Business and Operations, issued the statement through the Windows Azure blog to further explain the malady. Windows Azure Storage experienced a worldwide outage impacting HTTPS traffic due to an expired SSL certificate, wrote Martin.Given the scope of the outage, we will proactively provide credits to impacted customers in accordance with our SLA.Of doing business
