Like Windows 2000, Windows Whistler will likely ship with a system analyzer to insure that a user's computer will be capable of running Whistler before it is installed. This should prevent post-installation system crashes that have occurred on occasion with previous version upgrades. One of the nicest upgrade features with Whistler is the Dynamic Update service, which uses the computers current Internet connection to download any new product updates, bug fixes, and hardware drivers before installation begins. Like Windows Me, Whistler gives the option of copying the CD setup directory to the hard drive, eliminating the need for Windows to use the CD when changing system options or installed features.
