Windows XP Beta 2 Review

Intense Beta has posted a review on Windows XP Beta 2.
Please allow me to start this review with the following bold statement: as is, this OS is remarkably close to completion. Microsoft touts Windows XP as the most important operating system release since Windows 95. Windows XP does in fact introduce the most dramatic design change to the Windows experience since Windows 95. As most of you now know, Windows XP is built on the Windows 2000 engine and merges the reliability and stability of Windows NT with all the digital media and gaming capabilities of Windows 98 and Windows Millennium.
Since Beta 3 of the Windows 2000 developmental cycle, I have been a devout Windows 2000 loyalist. Some might joke that I have been more dedicated than the Microsoft sales force in attempting to convert every friend and family member that I have from Windows 9x to Windows 2000. Well, it appears that I am ready to jump on another bandwagon. Yes, the Windows XP bandwagon. Microsoft contends that we will get more done in less time with Windows XP because the new UI allows the user to find items in a snap, and arrange files and folders in a way that makes sense.I believe that claim will prove true.
