Do check what marker said, be SURE your servers are right... sounds like they are though, if you can get the mails.

SO... that said, it sounds like your preview pane settings are set for security (Outlook of all types iirc, preview pane actually executes any macros in Word composed html files, so it is shutdown by patches for security's sake iirc in a patch again, iirc).

Check your outlook settings here:

Tools menu, Options, Read Tab... be sure that, for instance, your "Automatically download message when viewing in the Preview Pane" is checked off (so the preview pane works right, IF you choose to use it that is... be aware, it has potential security consequences if you don't use an antivirus program to filter first!).

The Security Tab is another one to look @: It has a settings in it in a checkbox (the one I allude to above) of - "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus"... this one's a BIT 'overzealous' because it blocks things that might NOT be a virus too, from view.

* Also, do you use ANY 3rd party POP mail filtration programs that interject a local email server daemon?

(That's basically a 'front/filter' on port 110 pop mail that sits on your system locally acting as a proxy more-or-less).

That proxy intercepts requests directed to that port & filters them for spam (usually bayesian string comparison testing) or viral content (viral signatures content comparison) prior to email client programs like outlook parsing email header & body content as well as attachments.

See, many antivirus progs do this like Norton, AVG, etc. do this measure as well & they sit resident as local email server daemon programs that check for viruses in email (a known & hugely exploited way to spread them).

Also, do you use ANY spam filtering program like POPMail 2.x for example? If so, please make sure they are operating properly (reinstall USUALLY will fix that)).

If either is malfunctioning after that, there are fixes for this, like using certain localhost/127.0.0.1 entries in your hosts file (for Norton AntiVirus for example), you will see what you see (which is nada right now).

We can work on that if the above advice does not help, & it only takes minutes to correct as well...

P.S.=> Get back to us if this does not work... apk
