Wow... then, you've been online since "WAY BACK"...
I was totally IRC from 1994-1998, until around mid-1998 when I got into forums @ the old 3dfiles.com website...
(That website & its forums just took me away from IRC for a long stretch, 1998-1999 really, when I would only do IRC infrequently to say hello to old pals I had on it around 2000 was last time I was there iirc... maybe 2001 or so, not sure anymore!)

(Had a bit of a disagreement with someone who tried to cause me some hassles from another website I used to mod/admin @, & they got the tail end of the tiger on that one... their site? Is just dead... & totally gone afaik, & don't really care to know. They asked me to mod/admin there from this site via PM mail, & I accepted it... but, one of that person's colleagues (neighbor & pal in real life) did something I HATE - Edit my posts, but worse, he lied about it, & I busted him on dates & the whole 9 yards... still, owner sided with him... I don't go for that, I had solid data from email dates vs. time of my posts being edited & that should have set it right in my favor... well, real life & real friendships carried more weight apparently!)
BUT, that was not enough & they tried to poison a relationship I had with the folks there on IRC as well as other things... their site caved in after I was gone anyhow. Literally, not saying I was their site or anything like that... but it sure went belly up after all this went on!
Well, on IRC though?
They did get the better of me it seems because I just gave up really & would not take any b.s.!
(All started on IRC because I kicked the person in question for idling (who was the mod from the dead site mentioned above who started coming to our IRC channel, & that one? One of the BEST their was/is - K. Marden Bey endorsed it as the "Official Help Channel" for Dalnet in fact))
I got kicked from ops/mod/admin for a week & nobody listened to my case about this person (who only showed up I am sure to annoy me, I am NOT stupid) idling in channel... which this person did & channel had rules about it, so I did use them to my advantage, rules ARE rules after all!)
Anyhow: When we had our weekly ops meet? Well, the ONE GUY I thought would side with me (channel founder & guy I would call my friend) did not, & I just said "Adios forever folks!"
I don't ask alot out of folks... but, when I give respect? I expect it back. When I wasn't given any, & DID follow the rules (Albeit to my advantage against a DEFINITE troublemaker?)... well, I got the "$heet end of the stick" there & did not like it!
End of strange tale... too bad! I was there from that IRC channel's inception nearly, & that is how it ended with them! Pity, I liked alot of the folks there too, many OLD pals from over the years.
BOTTOM LINE/ANSWER YOUR QUESTION - NO matter though... I may still have ops there, I don't know, but don't care to find out anymore even!

Forums on websites are better! Places like this one... imo, @ least!
