i just got a copy of this game. i tried to install it on my winXP home edition. everything installed fine, but when i went to play the game, i received an error about directX along the lines of:
'D3DERR_INVALIDCALL' then some other junk. i have dl'd the newest directX(9.0b i think, whatever new one is). i also tried installing this on my win98 pc, but no luck. is it just the game or something?

Game works fine on XP with DX 9.0B.

What driver's/video card are you using?


I was pretty ticked off when the console ver came out but no PC ver.....but then I was happy again when it came out for PC and it turns out to be an excellent game. The console roots show through alot but they don't hurt the game that much.

it's a creativeSBlive card. guess i'll check with their site. but it is odd how i received the same error on a 98 pc.

Also if you can provide us with some system specs so we can get a better Idea of what kind of system you have.
also did you run dxdiag? to see if everything was okay there?

i did run dxdiag & everything was fine. i went to microsoft's site & reinstalled 9.0b as well. i'll do the system specs when i get home from work. it's strange cos this is the only game i'm having problems with.
