I loaed Nortons last nite and then tried to use ICQ, I couldnt connect, I bounced between several accounts, finally one worked, and then later I eventually got into all of them but, when I tried to return to my accounts after dis-connecting, no luck. However at work I access all accounts instantly, and at home I cant log in. I see ICQ is pre-configured and listed in Nortons Internet Security as authorized to access.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
TIA NED

Hey Kyosho46vr : hey did you check if you have access to ICQ ?!?!? i mean go and check it in the Settings. make it Permit BOTH directions (Inbound and OutBound) and let it use TCP and UDP and test it OK ?!?!?

I gave up, I am just running Norton's AntiVirus 2001, I did have the service allowed both ways though.

Use ZoneAlarm (Free) or BlackIce. Much better.

DosFreak, Even ZoneAlarm 1.0 Pro (with full customization features) blocks out some ICQ functions
