Has anyone come across drivers for SB 16 PCI for Win2K? If so or even if you have some info I would be very happy to hear from you.
Cheers
Wayne

I just checked Microsoft's compatability site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/upgrade/compat/default.asp

They don't have native support for the sb16-pci, and you probably won't get win2k drivers for this card. I suggest you try out a sbpci-128 card. one of my computers has this card and win2k has native support for it. It has 4 speaker support and runs quite well in all the games I've tried to date. The only drawback is no environmental audio. The best part is you should be able to go to any computer store and pick up the 128 for peanuts, or snag one off eBay for a few bucks.

i'm running that sound card too, windows finds and installs it during installation of Windows 2000. To fix problems with it, go into the Device Manager, click on computer, then goto standard pc and goto the properites of it and disable PCI Steering all together and reboot, it'll fix the probs

Get these drivers:
http://www.europe.creative.com/support/drivers/product.asp?prod=6

4 zipped .lib files and a setup program

I just bought a cheap sb16 pci, and it took me a couple of hours to find these - but they work =). They have no support for EAX or creative midi in w2k tho...
