Received a response from Intel quoting that Win2000 is a business-level OS and that the SVR3 is targetted towards the consumer-based market. Unknown if Intel will support this card under Win2000 despite of drivers working in NT4. 2) Intel doesn't provide w2k drivers for this card, and the installer for their NT drivers refuses to work in w2k. I have experimented a lot with other drivers and found that the Connexant reference WDM capture drivers for generic BT8x8 based cards work fine with this card in w2k. Unfortunately they're hard to find, but a web search will turn them. I forgot where I downloaded them from, the file name is Bt8X8WDMFS.zip https://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl-3.0.html
