AMD Shows Off AM4 Motherboards That Are Ready For Ryzen Processors

AMD Ryzen processors just got one step closer to launching last night at CES 2017 as AMD just lifted the embargo on their socket AM4 boards that are needed to run them. AMD AM4 boards for Ryzen-based CPUs will be using either the the X300 and X370 chipsets. AMD X370 chipset-based motherboards are the top of the line boards designed for users that are interested in overclockin and/or dual graphics. The AMD X300 chipset on the other hand is aimed at smaller form factor designs for small form factor PCs (mini-ITX). Both chipsets will support dual-channel DDR4 memory, PCIe NVMe SSDs, M.2 SATA devices, USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 devices and of course PCIe 3.0 capability for graphics cards. AMD Vega GPU Architecture Details Revealed

There were four main points that AMD wanted to drive home in our initial briefings on Vega, its next-genration GPU technology. First, is that Vega has the most scalable GPU memory architecture built to date. It also has a new geometry pipeline, tuned for more performance and higher efficiency, a new Compute Unit design, and a revamped pixel engine. All told, Vega should offer significant improvements in terms of performance and efficiency when products based on the architecture begin shipping in the not too distant future...

ASUS TUF Z270 Mark I Motherboard Review

We turn to ASUS today who has released a new Z270 motherboard in ye ol' SaberTooth line. Actuality, it is called simply TUF these days. The more rugged and shielded design comes with proper features, and THE most fan connectors I have ever seen. Though very little RGB bling is injected, this motherboard is compatible with the new generalized ASUS AURA SYNC, which is a software suite that allows for multiple choices in additional RGB gear to be driven from your one software suite.

ASUS Z270E STRIX Gaming Review

With the Z270E STRIX Gaming, ASUS has a well equipped motherboard in its portfolio, which comes with a bunch of interesting features. There are for example two M.2 Gen 3 x4 slots and a USB 3.1 internal connector. Apart from that ASUS refined the design of their STRIX Gaming series motherbards, removing all the orange accents that we've seen on X99 STRIX Gaming products.

Today, Dell is taking the redesign of their XPS product line another model deeper with the unveiling of one of its first new products out of the gate for 2017, the newly redesigned Dell XPS 27 All-in-One desktop PC (http://hothardware.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=efc4c507c2cf964fc2462caca&id=33fdbb7bc2&e=0c004f9c13) .

The all new Dell XPS 27 7760 has a radically new look that draws at least one design cue from its XPS notebook siblings, specifically with respect to display bezel, or the lack thereof.

However, its new, svelte window on the world might not be the most standout new feature of the 2017 Dell XPS 27. Under that display, Dell actually expanded things mechanically to make room for a 10 speaker sound system, designed by some rather talented audio engineers, that takes this desktop PC's audio reproduction and output capabilities to a whole new level.
