Cherry Strait Black Corded Keyboard Review

I never was much into notebooks/laptops and one of the reasons has always been the very short and soft keys used in their keyboards (the other has always been the rather small screens) so when many people i know got swept of their feet by the unveiling of the Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard a while back i really paid almost no attention to it. However i do realize that such keyboards can come in handy since they require less space on your desks and in some cases can improve typing speed without the extra noise of most keyboards but in the end i guess i never felt these were ment for me. Still it seems that many PC users out there are looking for a similar alternative to the Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard and although not many quality solutions come to mind we did notice that Cherry (yes that Cherry) has been manufacturing a corded keyboard with low profile keys called the Strait so we thought it would be nice to take it for a spin.

Halo Scanner Mouse Review

A hybrid rodent that's far from heavenly. A HALF-MOUSE, HALF-SCANNER sounds like more of a gimmick than an essential tool. And yet, here it is: the Halo Scanner Mouse, a straightforward-looking wired mouse with a small scanning window next to the conventional laser sensor.

It works by moving the mouse over the document to be scanned, which is then painted on-screen with each swipe. We're not sure anyone was asking for such a device, but it's an interesting idea on paper, so we had one sent to the office and got scanning.

Netis WF2190 AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter Review

There can be quite a few reasons that you’ll want to add a wireless network connection to your system and there are just as many ways that you can achieve that. One of the methods is via a USB dongle and today I’m taking a closer look at the Netis WF2190 AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter and will give it a good testing to see how well it performs.

The Netis WF2190 is designed with both desktop users and notebook users in mind and it adds a fast dual-band network connectivity to any computer that has a USB port available. Some possible usage scenarios could be when your notebook has a slower wireless connection built-in and you want to get that extra speed to your router or your desktop system is placed under the desk with bad reception, or maybe it doesn’t have a wireless connection at all. Whatever the situation might be, the Netis WF2190 will work for you.

Silverstone Ensemble EBA01 Headphone Stand Review

"I have too much chips for my dip. But if I open a new dip, I'll have too much dip for my chips." Have you ever faced a problem like this? Maybe you have poured out a bowl of cereal before remembering there is no milk left, or you are too cold because your air conditioning had been on for too long. All of these situations are what can only be described as rich people problems, or first world problems. In fact, we complain about these so much, YouTuber Ryan Higa, also known as nigahiga, decided to make a video called "First World Problems" to showcase the so-called problems people like us face while living in wealthier nations. Of course, this video is meant to display the triviality of the issues we face, and contrast them with actual problems such as meeting basic needs for survival. We laugh at things like this partly because they are quite silly, or even because we have complained about these things in the past. When it comes to reviewing products however, I can safely say many of the problems we bring up are also first world problems. For example, in Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Kwan's face-off of three competitive 4TB NAS drives last year, he had to make the "difficult decision" of choosing one of the three competitive hard drives. One of the problems I run into often appears when I review headphones. When I test and compare between multiple over-the-ear headphones, I need somewhere to place my other headset. I could rest it down on the table, but I would rather not, since it clutters up my desk and just looks messy. Enter today's product, the SilverStone Ensemble EBA01, which solves an audiophile's and a reviewer's problem, more so than a first world problem. Is it just a glorified paperweight, or is there something more to the EBA01? Let us read on to find out!

SilverStone FTZ01B Review

You can think of the SilverStone FTZ01 as a member of the Fortress Series Z with a B suffix for Black or S for Silver. FTZ01 is described as a ‘premium slim form factor case with superior thermodynamics and construction’ and while these claims are correct they tell only part of the story.

Touring Logitech's Audio HQ: Making of the Artemis Spectrum

Logitech recently reached out to us for a tour of their audio headquarters in Camas, Washington, where it spent the last 18 months designing what it believes to be the best sounding, most well-featured headset on the market, gaming or otherwise. In fact, they're so confident in the Artemis Spectrum, it bravely threw its creation to a small pack of skeptical tech journalists in hopes they'd go home impressed. Here are our thoughts.
