Acer Predator Aethon 500 Review

Acer's Predator Aethon 500 mechanical keyboard tries to hang with the luminaries of premium gaming keyboard design: Corsair and Razer to name a few. And in some ways it definitely holds up. However, while the Aethon keyboard aspires to be counted among the premium keyboard choices for discerning gamers - and the price tag of $180 definitely shows this - it's hard not to feel as though there are a few cut corners along the way.

AORUS RGB Memory 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 3200 MHz CL16 DDR4 Memory Kit Review

Gigabyte is one of the top motherboard manufacturers and you all might have heard about their gaming sister-brand, AORUS. Since its inception, AORUS has been branching out into various other market categories and building a diverse catalog of products. Their strategy here is to offer a full range of products under a single AORUS brand. Currently, the AORUS brand was offering a wide variety of motherboards, graphics cards, gaming peripherals and key PC components, all under the AORUS brand.

Talking about the PC components, the range included PSU and PC cases but at Computex 2018, Gigabyte showcased their AORUS branded RGB memory kits. We have seen a few graphics card manufacturers adding memory kits to their portfolios but this is the first motherboard maker to being going the memory route.

AORUS X399 Xtreme Flagship $449.99 US Motherboard Review

It was the beginning of 2017, Intel thought the year would go really smoothly for them in regards to their mainstream and high-end desktop launches. Intel launched their 7th generation core family, offering consumers the same architecture, slightly enhanced process and slightly higher CPU clock speeds, calling it a day. What they didn’t know was that their rival, AMD, was going to make an epic return just a few months after and when they did, Intel’s worst fears had come to life.

While Ryzen was anticipated to arrive on the mainstream consumer platform, offering IPC on par with Intel’s latest generation processors, it was Threadripper that no one, even the press had not expected. A full-fledged lineup of high-end desktop processors designed to tackle Intel’s Core X line up. AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper and the accompanying X399 platform is designed for enthusiasts, it offered features that are not available otherwise at an incredible value while the new Zen cores delivered CPU performance on par with Intel’s modern core architectures.

F1 2018 Review

Is F1 2018 a game worth your time or should you stay in low gear for it? If you are looking for a good racing game that is more than an arcade experience, then I do think it is worth it. The game offers a lot, even without getting into the simulation details, and for me at least, it has all been fun. For the most part, I have focused on the Career mode, but there are other modes to try as well, and the classic cars you can use too. I have also only been playing in the first person cockpit view, which might make the experience more like a simulation than an arcade racer, so keep that in mind when considering my opinion.

FSP CMT520 Computer Case Review

The FSP CMT520 improves in a few key areas over previous iterations of the company's chassis lineup and delivers an aesthetically pleasing case.

Sequels are a tricky business. I generally enjoy new movies continuing the story or expanding on the universe from older enjoyable movies. However, there are some truly terrible duds. I really enjoyed Ant-Man. However, the second movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp, was lackluster. I will not spoil anything here, but it just did not keep my attention as much as the first movie did. Unfortunately, this is a trend throughout movies in general. If more money can be made from a second movie, then it will happen. Transformers is a great example of movies just continuing on and on. Pirates of the Caribbean has a similar issue. I enjoyed the first three movies, but the ones after that were horrible. However, not every sequel is bad. How to Train your Dragon is an excellent movie, while its second movie is just as good. Captain America: Winter Soldier is in many ways better than Captain America's first movie. In rare cases, the sequels are better than the original, and in the world of technology, it should make a lot of sense for the next iteration of a product to be much better than the original. The manufacturer has the advantage of hindsight as well as feedback from plenty of reviews and from customers. This means the next product should probably be better in many ways. Today, we have the FSP CMT520, which is building on the previous CMT510. Is the FSP CMT520 an improvement over the CMT510? Read on to find out!

MSI B450M Mortar Micro-ATX Ryzen Motherboard Review

We haven’t seen many B450 motherboards in for review since they launched, so today is a good day. I have in my hands, the B450M Mortar from MSI. We loved their B350 version which joined us with the previous Ryzen launches, and they should be a nice upgrade for it. It’s still pretty much the same design, but a few nips and tweaks are included. Of course, it comes with the right BIOS out of the box too, making it compatible with Ryzen 2000 series CPUs and more. There haven’t been many mATX Ryzen motherboards either, so it’s certainly nice to see more hitting the market. Let’s dive in for a closer look at what it has to offer!
