ComputerBase has posted a review on the Athlon XP2600+ in german

On the 21.08.2002 AMD broke the silence about the Athlon XP Thoroughbred and released it to the market. We're afraid that only the big international online-magazins got review-samples of the Athlon XP with it's new core. But now we also made it and as one of the first german non-commercial website we have the chance to get a closer look at the Thoroughbred models 2400+ and 2600+. As you already might have imagined we made a comparison against the processors from Intel. To make things fair we equipted the Intel processors with DDR333 memory instead of Rambus. Under this circumstances both the Intel and the AMD processors had to show which of them are the champion in this race. But the most important questions are the performance of the Pentium 4 against it's equally clocked AMD opponents and how the 2600+ can compare against the Pentium 4 2.8/2.66/2.53/2.4 GHz. To get the answers just check out our review.
