Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming OC 6G Graphics Card Review

When NVIDIA initially released their new RTX graphics cards the two big selling points where real-time ray tracing and DLSS. NVIDIA’s marketing behind these technologies was “it just works”, which definitely should of had an “*” next to it. With real-time ray tracing NVIDIA did not really talk about the performance hit you would take get those amazing visuals. DLSS on the other hand was something to be excited about, but at least with our testing in Battlefield V it did not look at good and you need to turn ray tracing on to use it, which sort of defeated the purpose of it in the first place. Many gamers want nothing to do with real-time ray tracing or DLSS, they just want a good card that can give them decent frame rates in games. After the RTX 2060 we were not sure what NVIDIA would do for the lower-end of their product stack, but it seems clear that they will be releasing cards that do not have RT or Tensor cores, so no RTX features. The first card to come out is the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, which is meant to be a replacement for the GTX 1060 and should offer some pretty good performance at 1080p and 1440p resolutions. Today we are taking a look at Gigabyte’s GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming OC 6G card, which comes with a nice factory overclock, a custom design with the company’s WindForce 3X cooler, and even RGB lighting. Read on as we take a look…
