AMD Catalyst 12.3 Windows 7 Driver Analysis @ TweakTown

I think the first thing we can say is that it's nice to see that AMD got the Catalyst out on time this month and it did indeed come out during March unlike the Catalyst 12.2 which fell into March.

The second thing is that this is a weird driver release. The Catalyst 12.2 was labeled as 12.3 and it made us wonder a bit. Was AMD just throwing an earlier version of the 12.3 drivers out there to keep up with the monthly schedule? In the end we'll probably never know the truth.

Gigabyte Z77X-D3H motherboard preview @ Guru3D

We preview the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H which is intended for Intels 22nm processors that will be coming out later this year based on Socket LGA1155 however the motherboard also supports Sandy bridge processors like the Core i7 2600K.

Samsung 830 Series 128GB Solid State Drive Review @ ThinkComputers.org

When it comes in SATA 6GB/s solid state drives or solid state drives in general there are a few names that come to mind, OCZ, Kingston and Patriot are just a few but Samsung is not really one of the them. For the consumer market Samsung gave us the 470 series drive and now they have entered the SATA 6GB/s segment with the 830 series. What is interesting about this drive is that it uses Samsungs own controller, NAND and DRAM. Something we have not seen on any solid state drive that we have reviewed. The 830 series has rated speeds of 520MB/s read and 320MB/s write. Lets see how this drive stacks up against other SATA 6GB/s drives that we have tested.
