OCZ Technology Vendetta 2 CPU Cooler Review
Bigbruin.com has posted a review on the OCZ Technology Vendetta 2 CPU Cooler

The original Vendetta cooler performs well and is still a great option for those with limited space, but the cooling performance and low noise operation of the Vendetta 2 are really impressive. By taking the original design and scaling it up to accept a 120mm fan, OCZ Technology has created an enthusiast grade cooler that isn't so large and heavy that it might cause installation issues.

ASUS 3870X2 Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the ASUS 3870X2

Today we are going to take a look at the ASUS EAH3870X2. Yes, that's right, we are showing some love to the gang in red, err green? Red/Green? Whatever color they are we love to see what ATI has up its sleeve from time to time since it would be a very bad thing if competition didn't exist. First, for those of you who were able to saw off their arm and escape from that rock you were under, let me say this, 'WOW, who gets caught under a rock anymore?' Secondly, the X2 represents a unique approach to graphic processing. By combining two GPUs on one PCB you have a card with twice the speed of a standard HD3870 without the need to buy a special chipset or motherboard. Even better, ASUS, never leaving well-enough alone, designed a custom cooler and added a few extra DVI ports to really spice things. Let's see if this card has what it takes to earn a spot in your gaming machine.

XPSP2 vs XPSP3 Performance Comparison
DragonSteelMods posted a performance comparison between Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3

So for my own purposes I decided to run a bunch of tests to see if there was any real differences, after all Benchmark and testing software is designed to pick up very small imperceptible differences in things that we normally wouldn't notice. We wouldn't notice a few nanoseconds or milliseconds most likely but the software will as that's what it's for, to measure things like that. So I ran SiSoft Sandra, Cinebench, 3dmark06, SuperPi Mod 1.5 and TmpgeNC before and after the upgrade to SP3, I decided instead of just keeping it all to myself, why not share the results, and well there is a difference between SP2 and SP3 and it's a mixed bag of results really, in some cases SP2 is better and in others SP3 is, but there is obviously something going on, something changed and I'm not sure if it was for the better...

Lexmark X4875 Professional All-in-One
BIOS Magazine posted a review on the Lexmark X4875 Professional All-in-One

When it comes to scanning the X4875 was fine for making digital backups of letters and passports. But if you want to digitise photos to enlarge later, you'll ideally need a resolution of 2400x4800ppi, which is only possible with software enhancement. Scan were typically low resolution, and grainy. The device can easily produce readable (if not necessarily beautiful) photocopies of documents, but it's not suitable for bulk copying or making pristine reproductions of photos. Nevertheless, the X4875 is a very handy home-office addition for weekend workers who don't require a fax.

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610W Review
Driver Heaven posted a review on the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610W

PC Power & Cooling is one of the most reputable high performance PSU manufacturers, if not the most reputable. This good reputation is no doubt helped by them not offering budget products, only mainstream and high end models. When OCZ bought PC P&C nearly a year ago many thought that the quality of their units would somehow degrade however every unit they released since then had an excellent design and really the move to the OCZ camp has had little impact. Today we will take a look on a unit from the Silencer series which is aimed at mainstream users, the Silencer 610W EPS12V. Interestingly the Silencer 610W EPS12V is the first PC P&C unit we have received that clearly mentions OCZ technology on it, let us have a closer look at it and see how good the latest mainstream PC P&C units really are.

Asus Striker II NSE 790i SLI Motherboard Review
APH Networks has published a new review on the Asus Striker II NSE 790i SLI Motherboard

Imagine this: You are an engineer working at Asus. As a member of the team to design and engineer boards for the company's Republic of Gamer line, you and your team are given a task to create what the world will soon define as the ultimate enthusiast motherboard on the Intel platform. The goal of this project is to make a board that totally dominates the competition in the market as a flagship enthusiast motherboard, which naturally has to be completely-really-uber-1337 in all areas. Did you say performance? Check. Did you say features? Check. How about the looks? We got that covered. Anything else a hardcore computer enthusiast will appreciate? That's quite a challenge -- you got to be creative and imaginative. Fortunately, none of us here at APH Networks works in quite a department that requires such superior engineering skills and imagination at hand. The great thing of being a reviewer is that instead of thinking about what to implement in the design, we were instead given a product as a result of such marvelous work -- the Asus Striker II NSE motherboard, based upon NVIDIA's 790i chipset -- and we can have all the fun in criticizing (And praising, what were you thinking?) the hard work of these people. So we present to you our review of the Asus Striker II NSE motherboard, a product that's based off the Striker II Extreme that the Asus bosses probably told their engineers, "Make the ultimate motherboard. Go absolutely nuts, good luck, have fun." So they did. Just don't pass out when you see the price tag.

NVIDIA 3-way SLI with three NVIDIA 9800 GTX Review
I4U NEWS is testing NVIDIA's 3-Way SLI with a trio of NVIDIA 9800 GTX video cards.

When all the testing was done it was apparent that on the same test machine with the same exact settings on some tests 3-way SLI performed better than Quad SLI did. The tradeoff for 3-way SLI is that not all of the boards out there support it, while many support normal SLI. You also give up all of your expansion ports save one (if you are lucky) when you have three cards in your machine.

Lexar JumpDrive Lightning Review
Tech-Reviews.co.uk finished a review on the Lexar JumpDrive Lightning.

Nowadays everyone has a flash drive. The prices for USB drives have fallen dramatically in recent years meaning it's now a good time to replace your old sluggish drive. But why would you want to do this? Well, with the release of Windows Vista and Ready boost (enabling you to use Flash Drives as RAM); the transfer speeds on many drives has increased so transferring your files will be quicker than ever. Also, programs can now be installed on drives, enabling you to run Email Clients, Office Tools etc all off of your USB stick. However, to do this, a vast amount of disk space is needed on your drive, but don't fret, 4GB flash drives can now be had for around 30. Today we'll be testing a new drive from Lexar, the 4GB JumpDrive Lightning, lets see if this drive really lives up to its name.

OCZ EliteXstream 800 Watt Power Supply Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the OCZ EliteXstream 800 Watt Power Supply.

Today I will be looking at one of OCZ's newest power supplies, the EliteXStream 800w PSU. This will be the first OCZ power supply I have reviewed here. OCZ is well known for their high-performance system memory and have been in the power supply business for a while as well. Will the EliteXStream 800 live up to the high expectations I have of OCZ products?
