Pioneer's PDCSO2BK Blu-ray drive
Bit-Tech published a review of Pioneer's PDCSO2BK Blu-ray drive

Pioneer has made a very solid, very inexpensive product and the brand name should certainly go a long way to assure the quality and investment is something that's worthwhile, if you're getting into HD movies. It does what it says on the tin and for once even the retail package is at least partially compelling if you don't already have some good disc burning software and Blu-ray playback software.

Sony DSC-W130 Digital Camera Review
Bios Magazine posted a review on the Sony DSC-W130 Digital Camera

Sony's DSC-W130 is a good all-rounder, though image quality is quite run of the mill with softening around edges and noise at ISO 800 and higher. Colours are vibrant and shots are generally acceptable, though aren't quite as sharp as they could be - but they're more than suitable for respectable A4 prints, e-mailing, and posting on the Web. The DSC-W130 doesn't set the world on fire, but its build quality, fast shutter, longer-than-normal lens, and handy in-camera editing and slide show functions make it a well-rounded offering for the asking price.

PC Perspective takes a look at the new HX1000W PSU from Corsair

Corsair took their time and did it right. The new HX1000W modular power supply is one of the best 1,000W PC power supplies we have tested to date. The HX1000W PSU provides excellent voltage regulation and delivers clean outputs with very good efficiency. As if that weren't enough, the HX1000W does it's job quietly, is 80Plus and NVIDIA Triple SLI certified, and comes backed with a 5-year warranty and 24/7 support. Highly recommended!

Scythe Kaze Master Fan Controller Review
Tech-Reviews.co.uk checked out the Scythe Kaze Master Fan Controller

With the ever increasingly popular gaming cases - such as the Twelve Hundred which we reviewed at Tech-reviews yesterday - more and more fans are being added to cases. This is good in the way of cooling; hence better performance from components, however installing lots of fans increases the noise levels of computers considerably. To drop these noise levels, you need control over your fans and if you don't have mystic powers, one such product that achieves this is a fan controller. Fortunately, we've been lucky enough to review a fan controller from reputable manufacturer Scythe. Introducing the Scythe Kaze Master.

Nvidia's GeForce 8300 chipset
The Tech Report posted an article on Nvidia's GeForce 8300 chipset

Just a few short years ago, home theater PCs were pretty cutting-edge. You pretty much had to be an enthusiast to even know such a thing was possible, and setting up a suitable system wasn't cheap—especially if you wanted to make the most of a high-definition TV. But as is often the case in this industry, cutting edge features and capabilities quickly trickle down to the mainstream. Even today's run-of-the-mill home theater PCs are leagues ahead of the once-impressive media rig that I assembled several years ago and still use today.

Several factors have conspired to make home theater PCs so capable and popular. Microsoft deserves some credit for bringing a 10-foot GUI to Windows, making it easier for folks to control their PCs from the couch without having to mess with additional software. The industry trend toward lower power consumption has helped, too, delivering scores of cool-running chips that can get by with the kind of near-silent cooling you want in your living room. Integrated graphics chipsets have also stepped up in a big way, offering credible gaming chops and an arsenal of advanced video decoding tricks.

For a few months now, AMD's 780G has reigned as the only integrated graphics chipset capable of handling high-definition video decoding. Now it has company in the form of Nvidia's new GeForce 8300. This single-chip core logic package features a graphics core derived from the GeForce 8400 GS, full Blu-ray decode acceleration, a HyperTransport 3.0 processor link prime for Phenom processors, PCI Express 2.0 connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet, loads of SATA RAID, and an even dozen USB ports. Impressive specs, no doubt, but can the GeForce 8300 unseat the 780G as our integrated graphics chipset of choice? Read on to find out.

Apple Wireless Keyboard Review
TheTechLounge reviewed the Apple Wireless Keyboard

Mmm, Mac hardware. Sharp. Purposeful. Tasty. Downright industrial designelicious. Half of the people who make the vaunted switch do so because of this keyboard. I mean, not literally this keyboard, but because of the engineering and style that this wireless device is the apex embodiment of. The keyboard is small because it's cut down; the keys are standard but a lot is sacrificed to make the whole package as miniscule as possible without cramping digits. I see a lot of potential in this input device, and not because it's portable. But I also can't help but wonder, can design be taken too far?

Toshiba Satellite U300 Review
InsideHW.com has posted review about Toshiba Satellite U300

Notebooks from Toshiba were relatively often tested in our test lab, but mostly those were models with 15.4'' screen diagonal. Models with 13.3'' are present on market but not as much as 15.4''. It seems that manufacturers don't agree with consumers' claims that notebooks with 13.3'' screen have best ratio of mobility and functionality. Only one manufacturer that stands strongly with 13.3'' models is Apple with MacBook series.

Thermaltake XaserVI Mx Case Review
Rbmods posted a review on the Thermaltake XaserVI Mx Case

Today its time for another case review, Thermaltake was kind enough to send us a sample of their XaserVI Mx case for review. This seems to be a nice looking medium tower case if we take a quick overview of it but the question is how good is the quality, and what kind of new features does it have that should give it the edge over its competitors? The main feature seems to be that the case is designed for both air and watercooling so lets see if there is enough space to squeeze in a watercooling setup.

Sapphire Radeon HD4850 512MB Graphics Card Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the Sapphire Radeon HD4850 512MB graphics card.

The HD4850 is a product which is aimed straight for the throat of Nvidia's 9800GTX and has actually incited a quick and dramatic response from the boys in green. After the initial performance reports of this card were released, Nvidia quickly knocked nearly $100 off the MSRP of their then $300 GTX so it could compete mono a mono with ATI's new wunderkind. Not only is the HD4850 seemingly perfectly suited for budget-minded gamers in the $200 price bracket, but it also offers a bevy of other features including audio out through HDMI as well as Havok physics support. The more features the better we say.

OtterBox iPhone Armor Case with Waterproof Headphones Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the OtterBox iPhone Armor Case with Waterproof Headphones

OtterBox has been around since 1996, catering to the "klutzy, spontaneous, chaotic, graceless individuals who have broken a device or valuable due to their active lifestyle". Whether you are into hiking, biking, camping, skiing, swimming or any other outdoor activity, OtterBox likely has a product that will allow you to safely bring your electronic gadgets along for the ride. Today I will be taking a look at the OtterBox Armor Case for the iPhone, the more rugged alternative to the Defender Case that we reviewed earlier this year. Unlike the Defender series, the Armor series is fully waterproof up to 3 feet, and OtterBox even included a set of Waterproof Headphones for us to try out.

iMetal iP-HS2 Isolation Headset for iPhone Review
I4U NEWS published a review of the Maximo iMetal iP-HS2 Isolation Headset for iPhone.

Today we are looking at the iMetal iP-HS2 Isolation Headset for iPhone that is designed to work specifically with the iPhone. The headset is very attractive and works well. The other day we reviewed teh iP-HS1 model from the same company.

I found that the ear tips are rather small in their sizes; I typically use medium ear tips on most isolation style headsets. On the iMetal iP-HS2 Isolation Headset for iPhone, I had to move up to the large to get the same seal and fit I normally see with medium tips. If you have large ears, this could be an issue for you.

Nexus HOC-9000 Review
Tech-Reviews.co.uk has just posted a news review on the Nexus HOC-9000

CPU cooling has become a dominant sector of computer components recently as the need for a cooler that not only performs well but also has low noise levels has become a fundamental rule of most higher-end computer systems. With many putting their processors under a lot of strain through overclocking and gaming, central processing units tend to heat up rapidly; in response to this Nexus have crafted the HOC-9000 - a supposedly 'real-silent' CPU cooler.

Dell Vostro Laptop Review
SpicyGadget.com takes a look at the Dell Vostro 1500

So I purchased the Dell Vostro 1500 laptop, the newest edition in Dell's lineup of business laptops since I own an older Inspiron laptop model and it never failed me. I looked around for all different brands before choosing Dell again just to see if I could do better with the same or even $200 dollars more on the price, but I just can't find anything cheaper with such a great host of features and excellent specs.

Samsung SC-HMX20C High Definition Digital Camcorder Review
Futurelooks posted a review on the Samsung SC-HMX20C High Definition Digital Camcorder

Earlier this spring, we reviewed Samsung’s SC-HMX10A, an HD camcorder that gave us a 1080i resolution, touch screen controls and photo functionality, all in a package not much bigger than a Coke Can. Although we were fairly impressed with the HD quality of the playback, especially via the built in HDMI port, we found the camera function to be a fairly useless feature that ended up being a “miss the moment” rather than “capture the moment” feature. Has Samsung succeeded in improving on their previous work with the introduction of the Samsung SC-HMX20C? Let’s find out!
