t-break posted a review on the Wacom Intuos4 Tablet

Wacom’s latest offering in the tablet series is the Intuous4, which adds better quality pressure sensitivity and precision. Right off the bat, the Intuous4 makes a great first impression. Everything about it is very sleek – from the design, right down to the packaging. The smooth, satin black tablet is cascaded with new design features including a range of express keys, led buttons and a radial menu on the side.

SanDisk Ultra Backup 32GB USB Flash Drive Review
Everything USB posted an in-depth SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (32GB) review

According to Acronis' 2009 survey of over 6,000 households, roughly 64% of users perform data backups only once every 2-3 months if at all. Ouch! Now that USB flash drive capacities are growing over 64GB, SanDisk is looking to spur good backup practices by having users ditch bulky external hard drives for their smaller, aptly-named Ultra Backup flash drives. Powered by U3 and bundled with Dmailer's intuitive backup software, is the first thumb drive to feature a Backup button worth it? More importantly, will you finally be coerced into backing up on a regular basis? Press on to our in-depth review to find out!

Verdict:
SanDisk's Ultra Backup USB flash drive fuses fast write speeds with a
consumer-friendly backup program, but is unfortunately hindered by the
neglected U3 platform and high cost of ownership.

The Good:
+ Retractable USB plug
+ Non-obtrusive hardware design
+ Backup software is easy to configure
+ SanDisk Backup software features "live backups" and file revisioning
+ None of the components require administrative rights to run

The Bad:
- High MSRP
- Lack any accessories
- Backup software and U3 Launchpad are Windows only
- Password protection takes all-or-nothing approach that prevents drive
use on Linux and Embedded platforms
- U3 password protection requires software installation for Mac users

X-Trac Logic mouse Pads Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the X-Trac Logic mouse Pads.

Up until a couple of years ago, I thought a mouse pad was a mouse pad. It made no difference what the manufacturer was, or the type of mousing surface used. Having a large mouse pad was basically just for our E-Peen size. I sure was not going to buy a 30 USD mouse pad when a 5 dollar Walmart special would do just as good. Well, was I ever wrong, dead wrong.

Until just recently 'gaming' mouse pads were only made by a few manufactuers, now just about everyone makes 'gaming' mouse pads, and claims to give us better performance, better handling, and more comfort, yadda yadda, you know the drill. For those who are always going to LAN parties, toting a mouse pad is effortless, even if it is a large surface pad. What kills some mouse pads is that they bunch up on us when we are really getting into our games, or shift postitions during a rigorous gaming session causing us gamers to stop and reset our mouse pads so we may continue our onslaught.

X-Trac has a mouse pad that is light wieght, large enough for us to use our multi DPI mice on, and to top it off, they made it so the mouse pad does not slip and slide underneath our mice/hands when we are really getting dirty.

Here at Bjorn3D, we bring you the X-Trac Logic mousing surface.

AMD Athlon II X2 250 reviewed
ITReviewed posted a review on the AMD Athlon II X2 250

AMD's Athlon II X2 250 performed well in all of my tests. It's a very solid performer for a dual-core chip, especially considering its relatively low price point. From a power user's perspective it may not elicit much excitement, but budget conscious consumers and silent HTCP (home theatre PCs) aficionados should take notice. Coupled with a decent 790GX-based motherboard and 4GB of DDR2 RAM, for example, and you've got yourself a relatively high performing entry-level system for under 250. All that's missing is the L3 cache, which was necessary in order to cut costs. But due to the lack of this L3 cache, the power consumption has been cut down by around 10% compared with the dual-core Phenom II. Overclockers and gamers on a budget should stick to AMD's Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition.

Thermaltake V9 Mid Tower Gaming Case Review
Hi Tech Legion posted a review on the Thermaltake V9 Mid Tower Gaming Case

The Thermaltake V9 gaming case is a solidly built mid tower case. It has many functional, as well as a few purely aesthetic, features. The case, as far as drive space is concerned, is completely modular (screw less). The Thermaltake V9 has more than enough room to accommodate several larger components, and is surprisingly spacious for a mid tower case.

Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 ATOMIC Graphics Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 ATOMIC Graphics Card

The ATOMIC series of cards is one that we really do get excited about when it comes to Sapphire products. Unlike a lot of other companies who overclock, Sapphire tend to really mix it up with this particular series. We don't only see some serious clock speeds, but also something fancy in the heatsink department which always helps bring the card to a new level.

With the bar set high for the HD 4890 ATOMIC from Sapphire let's not delay any longer and see what exactly is going on with the card and find out if Sapphire is able to impress us with this ATOMIC version like other ones from the series have in the past.

Canon EOS 500D reviewed
ITReviewed posted a review on the Canon EOS 500D

Canon's EOS 500D provides an impressive array of features. It's not the most extravagant camera in terms of characteristics, but it provides pretty much everything all but the most demanding of photographers demand. The camera is very easy to use - at least for a DSLR - not least because of the selection of scene modes and My Menu feature that lets you choose six menu items that you use the most and consolidate them in one place. Performance is also very strong for both images and video, although it doesn't match the hugely expensive EOS 5D Mark II. The EOS 500D even does a great job of shooing in low light at high ISOs above ISO 800, something that can't be said about all EOS models. Having said that, if you want to regularly capture successful home movies, you'd be better off with a dedicated video camera instead. The EOS 500D is definitely the best in its class and is also probably the best digital SLR you can currently get for under 1000. For those not bothered about video, opting for the EOS 450D will save you around 200.

Kingwin XT-1264 Review
PureOverclock posted a review of the Kingwin XT-1264 CPU Cooler

Kingwin's XT-1264 cooler is an example of the notion where a company wishes for us to look at things a bit differently. This cooler employs their Heatpipe Touch Chip (HTC) technology, where heatpipes touch the chip instead of the case. What? That sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it? Yes, it's the same design as HDT but a different name. The XT-1264 looks rather unassuming and it's priced pretty well, so let's see if it has the dash for the cash on a highly overclocked Core i7 monster.

TRENDnet TPE-S44, TPE-112GS and TPE-111GI Power over Ethernet
TweakTown posted a review on TRENDnet TPE-S44, TPE-112GS and TPE-111GI Power over Ethernet

Power over Ethernet (PoE) was once an enterprise only standard. It was simply not something that the average home (or even small business) could afford. PoE is extremely useful for home security and monitoring; it can be used to extend camera coverage to places where no power has been run.

However, until recently PoE devices and switches were too costly for use in the average home. But as we have shown in a few of our recent reviews, managed switches, KVM over IP and PoE are now an affordable option. Today we take a look at three products from TRENDnet that help bring PoE to home security without breaking the bank; the TPE-S44 10/100 PoE Switch, the TPE-111GI PoE Injector and the TPE-112GS PoE Splitter.

Powercolor Radeon HD 4890 PCS+ Review
The Guru of 3D posted Powercolor Radeon HD 4890 PCS+ review

Today we test a graphics card from the chaps of PowerColor, they launched their Radeon HD 4890 PCS+ , a card with custom cooling, a lot of copper .. and it comes pre-overclocked at 950 MHz with a 4200 MHz memory frequency.

This very product can be spotted at roughly 239~249 USD, and for the EU you can expect something in the 210~225 EUR price range. That definitely is a little higher than the 'regular' model of the card, but remember what you receive in return for that; a custom cooler and more performance. That sounds definitely sexy doesn't it ?

The V1 AX is one of 8 CPU coolers currently offered by Thermaltake for the Socket 1366 platform, and like many of their coolers it is capable of cooling most modern processors. It is similar to their V1 cooler in every way, except that this cooler has aluminum cooling fins rather than copper, which gives it a different look and ultimately makes it a less expensive solution.
