Corsair XMS3 DHX 1600MHz 4GB Memory Kit Review
3D Game Man posted a review on the Corsair XMS3 DHX 1600MHz 4GB Memory Kit

Well before NVIDIA had any plans for DDR3, EPP or Extreme Performance Profile DDR2 memory was making its way into the mainstream. These modules were really designed to work with 680i chipsets, since any AMD solutions have the memory controller moved to the CPU, this eliminated any offerings NVIDIA can give.

EPP has made its way into DDR3 with EPP 2.0; this being the DDR3 variation. Today we have Corsair’s monster 4GB DDR3 kit (2x2GB) supporting EPP 2.0. Let’s see how it copes.

BlueAnt Wireless Z9i Bluetooth Headset Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the BlueAnt Wireless Z9i Bluetooth Headset

The Z9i Dual Microphone Headset is the latest in Bluetooth devices from BlueAnt as the company tries to combine cutting-edge technology with stylish design. The Z9i incorporates BlueAnt’s revolutionary world class Digital Signal Processing solution - Voice Isolation Technology. Voice Isolation Technology is critical for noise suppression, wind noise reduction and echo cancellation in both noisy and windy environments.

Overall, the BlueAnt Z9i is a very good headset. We found the noise cancellation to just slightly better than its older sibling the Z9. In a crowded and noisy room, the Z9i will definitely perform better than that of a normal everyday headset. The dual microphones that BlueAnt equipped it with will isolate your voice and suppress background noise. The Jawbone and Plantronics headsets will perform this function much better, but with a much higher list price. When it comes to noise cancellation we have found that you certainly get what you pay for...

LG Flatron L206WU with DisplayLink
Bit-Tech published a review of LG Flatron L206WU with DisplayLink.

Wiring up an additional monitor via a USB 2.0 port is certainly an attractive and intriguing option and the LG L206WU does just enough to suggest that DisplayLink could well be the interface of choice for PC monitors in the future.

For simple business tasks it could pass as an attractive option, especially if you work on a locked down machine with a single VGA port in the back. But for home users, in its current form we've no choice but to conclude that its shortcomings reduce it to the status of flawed curiosity.

nVidia Hybrid SLI Technology Article
OCIA.net has posted their latest article entitled: nVidia Hybrid SLI Technology

The idea behind combining multiple graphics processors to increase performance is nothing new. While you might be familiar with recent SLI and Crossfire solutions from modern-day video card manufacturers nVidia and AMD/ATI, the birth of multi-GPU 3D gaming can be traced back more than ten years ago to a company called 3dfx and their Voodoo2 graphics chipset. Today we find nVidia and AMD/ATI competing on a new graphics front, combining a hybrid mix of integrated motherboard graphics chipset commonly found in low-cost mainstream computer systems with that of a more traditional separate discrete graphics card.

Force3D ATi HD4870 Review
InsideHW.com has posted review for Force3D ATi HD4870 graphics card

Radeon HD4800 series of graphics cards is real refreshment in these days. Every new generation of GPU brought a big shift in performances and ATi this time showed us that top model graphics chip (RV770) doesn't have to be expensive. Based on experience from previous HD3850 and HD3870 models, we expected that new model HD4870 will dominate in middle-high class, with lower price and higher performances than other competitors. But, we were wrong. Tests showed something quite unexpected. Still, before benchmark results let's see what new GPU offers.

GlacialPower GP-AL650A 650 Watt Power Supply Review
TechAddicts posted a review on the GlacialPower GP-AL650A 650 Watt Power Supply

Overall, the GlacialPower GP-AL650A 650 Watt offers a great value and good performance. The intelligent fan controller keeps this power supply silent when doing non system intensive tasks and fairly quiet when under load, which was the main feature that impressed me. I would like to see more PSU manufacturers using this temperature controlled feature. This power supply would be great for anyone wanting a quiet computer or building a HTPC.

Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS Hard Drive Review
Futurelooks checks out the Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS Hard Drive

Hard drives remain the last great bottleneck in performance computing. Processors and RAM constantly get faster and more complex, due to being solid state electronics. Since hard drives consist of moving parts, they have been left behind in this race. Sure solid state drives have become available in the past year, but they are extremely cost prohibitive. So over the years companies have had to find creative ways of squeezing more and more performance out of the 50 year old hard drive. Western Digital is one of those companies.
