MGE Extreme Neon Review
Techwarelabs posted a review on the MGE Extreme Neon

There are many products on the market today to up the bling factor of your box. The crew at MGE sent TWL a few products to review for them. They include the 80mm fan grill with the biohazard logo, UV Sata Cable, blue cathode tube, 80mm fan with UV tape to light it up, lazer LED, and a laser beam.

MGE has come forward with several items to customize your case and give you that little extra something for others to take notice of at your next LAN party. The Neon stick and cold cathode' fan are a little brighter then the competitors, which will give your case a sinister glow, resulting in the rest of the party asking "what is really in the box?" The good thing about all these items is you may spend some loose change on these items now, but you'll be able to continue to use them with every upgrade you do to your PC in the future.

NVIDIA Geforce 7950 GT Review
Rage3D put up a NVIDIA Geforce 7950 GT review

You can see that the line has blurred significantly between NVIDIA’s enthusiast and performance products. Now, with 512MB memory onboard, the only thing separating the 7950 GT and the enthusiast level 7900 GTX above it is clock speeds and price.

XFX GeForce 7950 GT 570M Extreme Review
HotHardware.Com just finished a review on NVIDIA's new $299 GeForce 7950 GT video card

The GeForce 7950 GT we'll be evaluating today comes by way of XFX. In typical XFX fashion, the company has mutliple GeForce 7950 GT offerings in their product stack, the $299 PV-T71J-YHF9, which is clocked at NVIDIA's reference specifications of 550MHz / 1.4GHz, and the $329 PV-T71J-YHE9 which is not only clocked a bit higher at 570MHz / 1.46GHZ, but also sports a silent, passive cooling solution.

Nvidia Geforce 7950GT Review
3DAvenue.com has posted their review of Nvidia's brand new Geforce 7950GT 512MB videocard.

The 7900 series of cards, particularly the lower end 7900's, have built a sturdy reputation for being good overclockers, so we expected plenty of headroom with the 7950GT. From the default clocks of 550/700 on the Core and RAM, I achieved an overclock of 604 or +54MHz on the core, and 816 or +116MHz on the RAM - not the biggest I've seen for the 7900 series but still impressive.

XFX GeForce 7950 GT 570M Extreme Video Card Review
Legit Reviews takes a look at the XFX GeForce 7950 GT 570M Extreme Video Card

When XFX designed the GeForce 7950 GT 570M Extreme they took the NVIDIA reference design and overclocked it just a bit, which is nothing new to the graphics card industry. XFX then went against the flow and used a passive cooling solution on the overclocked card! The end result was music to our ears. The 570M Extreme is a truly silent graphics card that can play all the latest game titles without the roar of a fan. Even though the card is overclocked we found it to consume less energy than other cards in its class and it passed the 'light test' as our ceiling lights didn't dim when the card was being used under full load.

MSI K9N Platinum Review
EclipseOC posted a review on a motherboard with AMD's AM2 socket, the MSI

In the past, MSI has made solid motherboards for the enthusiast that pack a punch for the cost, and provide plenty of overclocking options for the average tweaker. Hopefully MSI can stay true to their past with their new AM2 boards.

XFX GeForce 7950 GT XT
nV News has posted a preview on the NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT video card

XFX must be commended for taking such a bold move to introduce passive cooling on a high-end GPU. Barring any ramifications that could be associated with the higher than "normal" GPU temperatures we are accustomed to seeing, they will have delivered a kick-ass product to the masses.

XFX GF 7950 GT 570M 512MB Video Card Review
Motherboards.org takes a look at the XFX GF 7950 GT 570M 512MB Video Card

A big plus of the 7950GT is performance that rivals that of the 7900GT of earlier this year for $299, over $100 less than the MSRP of the 7900GT at launch. It is always interesting to see how video card manufacturers package their products. The inclusion of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter brings a top-notch current game to the bundle.

Ultra 1500 VA UPS Review
PC Mech takes a look at the Ultra 1500 VA UPS

I think we all know the benefits of a good uninterruptible power supply, or UPS. These units provide various types of electrical protection for you computer such as battery backup in the event of a power outage, surge protection, and voltage protection. Even if your computer is running in tip-top shape, sudden interruptions or abnormalities in the power it's receiving can turn it into a very expensive doorstop. Think of that one time when you had just finished writing that term paper and were just about to save the final version when *poof* the power goes out. When the power comes back on you confidently push the on button on your computer and nothing happens, or your computer comes back to life but your paper is nowhere to be found. Even if these things don't happen to you, at the very least your geek pride in your system uptime takes a serious hit as you begin counting again in minutes instead of days. All of these situations can be averted with a good quality UPS. In order to fulfill that need, Ultra Products has sent us their 1500 VA UPS.

PC Stats posted a review on the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Intel P965 Express Motherboard

Featuring Intel's P965 Express northbridge and ICH8 southbridge chipsets, the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 motherboard supports all Socket 775 processors from the flagship Core 2 Duo/Extreme to the Pentium D/4 and Celeron D. Either 1006MHz Front Side Bus or 800MHz FSB is the number to remember, but it will also accept 533MHz FSB chips if you're really strapped for a chip. The ATX motherboard's four DDR2 memory slots accommodate a maximum of 8GB of DDR2-533/667/800 RAM, and unofficially at least it also works with DDR2-1066 memory modules. There are a few integrated devices outside of the standard collection associated with the P965 Express chipset; such as an IDE controller, 7.1 channel Azalia High Definition Audio and a 10/1000 Gigabit network card.

SLED 10.0 with XGL Review
KnoLinux posted a review on SLED 10.0 with XGL

So back in 2004, my wife bought me my laptop for Valentine's day. I know, how romantic right? Well, I was a consultant who lived in hotels all week and had nothing but extra time on my hands and so she knew that this would keep me busy on those nights when I was bored to tears. The problem was that my laptop was 64 bit. At that time the amount of 64 bit OS's out there was absolutely zero. Nada. Zip. Well, first Gentoo came out with one and I learned more about Linux trying to get that loaded than I ever thought possible. Next came Mandriva, then Suse 9.2. I tried and tried to get my laptop fully functional at 64 bit, I mean everything didn't work. No proper video, no wireless, and no DVD playing for me. I was stuck in 32 bit land and was not happy. What really baked my cake was that I went out and bought Suse 9.2 as it stated it had 64 bit support, but it just wasn't really functional. I instead installed Linspire on my machine and watched and waited for someone to make a 64 bit OS that actually runs my machine....and waited....and waited....and now I just have come to the realization that it just is never going to happen.

Enough on that, so why don't I use openSuse? Plain and simple; I hate that I need to download 4 Gig of data for any distro. Plus for all of that, 10.1 just was a nasty memory hog and wasn't very efficient. So when SLED (Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop) was announced this summer, no real bells and whistles went off in my head. I was actually busy trying to help the Freespire community as much as I could and really didn't want to bother with a commercial beast. Well, someone hinted to me that if I tried SLED, my XGL dreams would come true....that was it. I spent the time and effort to download the DVD iso image and set off to see whether this dream was actually a reality.

Spire Pininfarina Review
Overclockers Online has posted a new review on the Spire Pininfarina

The bottom line is this. If you're looking for one heck of a nice looking case with functionality and a solid layout that maintains excellent noise suppression and decent cooling, the Pininfarina is the first and last stop you should make. It is big enough for any hardware list yet not so large that it can't sit on top of a desk for everyone to see. The Pininfarina is well built and equally as well designed and anyone owning it should be more than pleased with their purchase.

OCModShop.com takes a look at Vantec's IDE to USB Adapter

Vantec has been making great products for the computer mechanics and enthusiasts alike for years, and this product will increase your productivity if you need to backup harddrives a lot whilst repairing computers. Normally you need to shutdown the PC and plug in the hardrive into your IDE port (making sure to set the correct master/slave jumpers) and reboot again, then when done copying the data you need to shut it down again, and so on... it gets quite annoying if you have to do that all day, so this is where this little cable comes in.

JVC Everio GZ-MG505EK HDD Camcorder Review
TrustedReviews looked at the JVC Everio GZ-MG505EK HDD Camcorder

JVC led the way with hard disk-based camcorders when it launched its Everio range back in 2004. But the format has taken a while to catch the public eye, and now Sony has entered the fray with its DCR-SR90 and SR100. So JVC needed to up the ante, and its answer is the GZ-MG505EK. Whereas the miniscule MC range had the three-chip MC500EK at its pinnacle, now the larger MG series has the MG505EK. It has almost identical optics to its tiny cousin, but in the larger G chassis.
