Thermaltake VI-ON USB & e-Sata Drive Enclosure Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the Thermaltake VI-ON USB & e-Sata Drive Enclosure

comes in so many different flavors it's hard to make a choice. Unfortunately, many of those choices don't include Active Cooling for the hard drive. Many of the external HDD enclosures provide the functionality you need, but are utilitarian in design and tend to 'ugly up' your desk. Not only do they raise the 'ugly' factor of your desktop, they seldom have Active Cooling for the hard working drive inside, and Active Smart Cooling is pretty much non-existent.

At least until now, Active Smart Cooling for HDD enclosures has been ignored. Thermaltake decided it was time for Active Smart Cooling in HDD enclosures and came up with the Thermaltake VI-ON. The Thermaltake VI-ON brings style to the never ending parade of external HDD enclosures, and raises the ante with Active Smart Cooling.

Today we will take a look at the Elixir, OCZs first gaming keyboard. It's certainly impressive on paper, featuring rubberized keys, 10 macro keys, 3 gaming profiles, a complete set of media-playback and web-navigation keys, all with a suspiciously low price tag (available from most retailers for just $30). OCZ also claims the Elixir to be a durable, long lasting product, with an impresive 5-million cycle life expectancy. Are these claims too good to be true? Will the Elixir poison our gaming experience, or elevate us to new levels of epic win?! Read on to find out!

techPowerUp posted a review on the Sapphire HD 4850 512 MB 100245L Own PCB Design

Sapphire has engineered their own version of the Radeon HD 4850 with cost and cooling in mind. The card's new unconventional heatsink looks good and keeps the card cool - far below reference design temperatures. The best of all is that the card costs only $169.99 online which makes it the cheapest HD 4850 available today.

Logitech V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks Review
Rbmods posted a review on the Logitech V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks

Todays review will actually be about a notebook mouse. When it comes to notebooks people tend to want a normal mouse to work with but it might be hard to carry around a bulky big mouse with a wire or big signal receiver. Logitech have solved both of these problems by releasing the V550 Nano Cordless mouse. There is no cord nor is there a big bulky receiver, how have they done it then?

ATI Catalyst 8.9 Analysis - XP & Vista
TweakTown posted an ATI Catalyst 8.9 Analysis

As we begin to roll into the final quarter of the year, AMD are back again with their much loved Catalyst driver suite, now at version 8.9. In our usual style we’ll be checking out how the new driver suite goes against the last set.

We again see this month that AMD promise nothing in the performance department; I suppose they’re feeling pretty confident with their HD 4800 products against NVIDIAs offerings. With that said, let’s check out the test system and get stuck into the performance comparison.

AMD Fusion Gaming Utility
Bjorn3D posted a short article about the new AMD Fusion Gaming Utility that allows AMD-owners to temporarily optimize their systems when playing games.

So what is this little utility for? The aim for the utility is not really the enthusiast users who have their computers fine-tuned and optimized, even though as we will see it still has something to offer for them to. Instead the utility is aimed to the rest of us who use our computers for all sort of stuff and thus tend to have quite bloated installations of Windows.

Cirago HS-450 Mini Bluetooth Cell Phone Headset Review
Tweaknews.net posted a review on the Cirago HS-450 Mini Bluetooth Cell Phone Headset

Given its size, I was very impressed by the call clarity on both ends (I even called my landline to listen for myself). Is it as good as $100 headsets? Not really, but it's a definite overachiever in the bargain entry, and one you should have a good hard look at if you are in the market for a new ‘set.

Cirago Mini Bluetooth Headset HS-450 Review
OCC has published a new review on the Cirago Mini Bluetooth Headset HS-450

The functions like call rejecting and microphone mute are very handy. Furthermore, the buttons are well positioned; when using one of these functions, you don't risk pushing any other button inadvertently. However, I do not recommend it for listening to music, as the sound quality for this purpose is very poor, but when making calls, the quality was just as good as any other standard phone. Another great thing is that there is an AC charger included as well as the standard mini-USB cable. So for mobile phone users who don't necessarily have a computer on hand, they can still recharge the unit. Or it could even be plugged in the car, provided you have a DC to AC transformer.

It's the stuff we life and breathe for here at Guru3D.com, definitely worth our time checking out. As it turns out, this is one of the best Radeon HD 4850 cards we ever tested.
