CoolerMaster Hyper 212 heatpipe cooler Review
The Guru of 3D posted a review on the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 heatpipe cooler

Coolmaster released an all new heatpipe based cooler today. Now when you look at it, you'll say seen that, been there and done that. See, the difference here is this actually is a high performing cooler that will make your (for example) AMD or Core 2 Duo E6600 processor go crazy happy. Efficient cooling usually equals good overclocks, and since you are reading an article from the geeks at Guru3D, we'll simply overclock a CPU and follow it's heat buildup inside the processor.

Oh and hey before you start to wonder, sure, we'll do the regular photo-shoot, installation and benchmark session as well. Yep, all that hard labor for a 43 USD product. But it's worth it for sure :-w:

Oh dang, didn't I mention that ? Yeah, it's only 43 bucks my man. Now that's pretty cool huh ?

Corsair DOMINATOR TWIN3X2048-1800C7 DDR3 Review
Bjorn3D posted a review on the Corsair DOMINATOR TWIN3X2048-1800C7 DDR3.

One of the computer world’s most famous quotes (although he probably never said it) is of course Bill Gates saying that ”we will never need more than 640 Kb of memory”. As we all know there can never be “enough” memory in a computer system. As memory gets cheaper and the upper limit of what the processor can address has increased, the memory need of the software we use somehow keeps increasing. Not only that, as the performance of the other components in a system increases, so does the demands on the memory.

While we have seen DDR3-memory for a while on video cards it is just now that this standard has started to appear in the regular system memory. Currently the only chipset that supports the new memory type is the P35 chipset from Intel but in the not so distant future (or even now depending on when you read this) Intel’s new X38 chipset will also have support for it.

Today I am reviewing a high-end DDR3 memory kit from Corsair: the TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF G DDR3 1800 MHz CAS DOMINATOR (I challenge anyone to say that really fast three times), from now on called the DOMINATOR Twin3X2048-1800C7D. While the highest official speed of DDR3 is 1333 MHz, Corsair has already managed to get even more speed out of it getting it to run at 1800MHz.

Zotac's GeForce 8600 GT ZONE Edition Review
Bit-Tech published a review of Zotac's GeForce 8600 GT ZONE Edition

Ultimately, the buying decision is going to depend on your needs because there is no clear //must buy in the midrange at the moment. Previous-generation DirectX 9 cards outperform their //replacements, but the new generation of cards have DX10 support and better HD video capabilities.

I guess if you're after a mainstream graphics card with a good set of home theatre features and respectable performance in both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 games, Zotac's card looks to be a better purchase than the Radeon HD 2600 XT, but it's a bit expensive for our tastes at the moment. You could say Zotac's GeForce 8600 GT ZONE Edition is a jack of all trades, master of none at its current price.

Be Quiet DarkPower 1000W PSU Review
DriverHeaven posted a review on the Be Quiet DarkPower 1000W PSU

Today, a large percentage of enthusiast user is trying to build a very quiet or even inaudible computer system. We all know that quiet cooling fans are only a part of the "silent solution"; an efficient, quiet power supply unit is a must when building a low noise computer. Although still not very well known to enthusiasts worldwide, Be Quiet (a subsidiary company of Listan which originates from Germany) designs and builds some of the best noiseless power supply units out there. Be Quiet units have never disappointed us in the past, but while they perform extremely well by any standard, they also tend to cost quite a lot. Today we will take a look at the most powerful silent unit they have available, the DarkPower Pro 1kW.

Antec P182 Computer Case Review
APH Networks has published a new review on the Antec P182 Computer Case

There are just so many computer case manufacturers with such a variety in models and styles, it's really starting to confuse the consumer -- I mean, there's probably more diversity in this area than there are cars on the street. However, there's really one case from one manufacturer that stands out from the rest today -- famous for silence, simplicity in aesthetics, detail of design, reputation for performance, and mainstream pricing -- in fact, it's so popular among our readers that it really pushed me to get one to try one out. If you already have an answer in your head, you probably guessed it -- the P182 'Performance One' series case from Antec. Built upon the Antec P180, this improved version comes in a slightly different color by default and promises much better cabling capabilities without whipping out any power equipment. So, what's the craze all about, and should you get one as well? We'll dig into the details in our review today.

3D Game Man take a look at the A.C. Ryan AluBoxDuo LAN

A.C. Ryan has carried their quality manufacturing process throughout the entire AluBox line of enclosures. Their commitment to the computer enthusiast has not been silenced and their efforts come through in a beautiful and high quality line of products. With great transfer speeds over USB and maxed speeds over their Ethernet connection, I do not see anybody being unhappy with this product. The limited network transfer rates are more than acceptable in this price range.

Benchmark Reviews has posted a review on the Tagan CS-EL Diablo Mid Tower ATX Case

Today Benchmarks Reviews takes a look at one of the newest additions to the Tagan Aplus case product line, the CS-EL Diablo BM Mid Tower ATX Case. Computer cases are no longer just a box to install your parts. Some of todays higher end cases may cost more than a complete entry level computer. They have come to play a crucial role in the cooling of todays high end CPU's and GPU's. And it is not just the how well the case cools, or how many drives it holds, but what it looks like that has become important. To a computer enthusiast the first impression a case makes is no trivial matter. Your case makes a statement about what type of computer user you are, from the small form factor, to the plane Jane vanilla beige cases, all the way up to the brushed aluminum water cooled cases.

Alienware Area-51 7500 Review
The TechZone reviews the Alienware Area-51 7500 PC.

Aliens have landed at The Tech Zone. Alienware , arguably the most familiar name in the family of boutique system builders, has provided us with our first look at one of their desktop gaming rigs. The Alienware Area-51 7500 is the workhorse system in Alienware's line of desktop computers. The term workhorse is only used insofar as the unit is the base model desktop. This in no way makes it any less capable then any of the other 3 desktops in Alienware's stable

ASUS Xonar D2 sound card Review
Elite Bastards posted a review on the ASUS Xonar D2 sound card

At the heart of the Xonar D2, under the fancy-looking EMI shield hich covers the top of the board much like a heat sink, you'll find the core of ASUS' abour of love - The AV200 HD audio processor. The word on the street is that this chip is very heavily based on CMedia's CMI 8788 Oxygen HD processor, which we've already seen used in myriad other discrete sound cards recently, although this has never been 100% officially confirmed to my knowledge.

Even assuming that the Xonar D2 is based around the CMI 8788 chip, this is certainly no bad thing, and the specifications of this part tends to back up the assumptions that CMedia have had more than a hand in the power behind this product, with the Xonar containing the full feature set seen in other Oxygen HD parts, from Dolby Digital Live and DTS interactive support through to 192KHz/24-bit audio support. Also similar to the CMI8788 is the AV200's 3D audio capabilities, with OpenAL supported, but only EAX 1.0 and 2.0 acceleration available - No EAX Advanced HD support here sadly, which might put off some gamers attracted to the ASUS board's looks and the company's often gamer-focused history.

Samsung BD-P1200 Blu-ray Player Review
Tweaknews.net posted a review on the Samsung BD-P1200 Blu-ray Player

Samsung's BD-P1200 is a step forward and a slight step back. Sure it now carries the new HDMI v1.3 standard, but it fails to take full advantage of what the new specification has to offer. In addition, although a lot of the bugs were worked out, some of the functionality was removed as well. The BD-P1000 had a handy memory card reader which would be great for people wanted to view their photos and video files seamlessly on their HDTV. The BD-P1200 has that functionality stripped away.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 universal PC cooler Review
Bjorn3D take a spin with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 universal PC cooler

There has been a lot of great products coming out of Cooler Master's stable lately. These include Cosmos and Stacker enclosures as well as cooling accessories and high-end power supplies. Not so long ago, I've compared Cooler Master HyperTX against Thermaltake TMG A1 HSF. The results were fantastic for HyperTX considering the designs haven't varied at all.

Today I bring you the latest CPU cooler from Cooler Master: Hyper 212. The most appreciated feature about this HSF is its universal design. That's right. AMD and Intel fans can go out and buy the same model and for those that will soon switch platforms there is no need to get rid of Hyper 212 -- it's compatible with the following CPUs: All current Intel Core 2 Duo / Extreme / Quad (LGA775) and AMD Athlon 64, FX, X2 (S754/939/940, AM2). Now to the good part.
