After going through numerous Corepad mousing surfaces over the last two months, we've saved the biggest for last. Yes, take it literally: The Corepad Deskpad XXXL is one large doormat-sized product. Sounds familiar? You must be thinking about the XTracPads Ripper XXL. But then again, there's no reason not to. And we'll tell you why in our review today; let's quickly move into it.

Company of Heroes
Gaming Illustrated.com posted a review on Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes has quickly become the game of choice here at Gaming Illustrated. We’re fighting each other (Axis vs Allies) on the LAN constantly, playing it online, and some of us have jeopardized our marriages to play long into the night to "just finish the next mission" because it’s so addicting.

Intel's Quiet Investments
HotHardware.com posted an article that deals with Intel's recent investments in Imagination Technologies, and what it could mean for the future of CPU/GPU integration.

Intel moved in on a quiet little investment of a UK-based company against the backdrop of IDF the other day. And if you weren't maniacally focused on some of these things, as we are around here at HH, it would have sneaked past you, right under your nose, without so much as a twitch of your sensory circuits. However, a press release that came across the wire this week was very telling indeed...

techPowerUp! has posted a review on the Sharkoon 1337 Gaming Mat

We take a look at Sharkoon's latest gaming mouse pad, which is only 1.4 mm high and can be rolled up to make transportation to LAN parties easier. The mat has a cloth top and uses foam at the bottom to make sure it's not slipping around on the table. At the end of the day the Sharkoon 1337 gaming mat which costs only $10 does not disappoint.

Company of Heroes Review
Bytesector.com posted a game review on Company of Heroes

In times of war, when the people of a nation experience great hardship and the sons and daughters of a generation risk their lives to uphold and defend their ideals, heroes are born. This is the great honour found in a title like Company of Heroes, but the reality is that these heroes are forged in the gory aftermath of battles where thousands of troops perish. This dark heroic truth, full of grit, blood and glory, embodies the action packed gameplay in THQ's latest real time strategy release. Developed by Relic Entertainment, the AI advances alone make this the RTS title to beat.

The days of the meager 300W PSU are most certainly over. The advent of multicores and power hungry graphics cards have sent the minimum power requirements for systems soaring to levels that were unthinkable just a few years ago. To this end, today we will be taking a look at a new Power Supply Unit (PSU) from BFG Technologies. BFG is a company traditionally known for their high end graphics cards and close relationship to nVidia. If anyone knows about power requirements in a gaming enthusiast system, it’s these guys.

Sleek as Hell and Power to Boot: Ultra's X-Connect 2 550W PSU
OCModShop checked out Ultra's X-Connect 2 550W PSU

If we have learned one thing from television, it's that more power is a good thing. Tim the "Tool man" Taylor always wanted more power in everything he did. Captain Kirk demanded more power from his chief engineer "Scotty" and by george he got it. And I challenge anyone to try and and find someone out there who has uttered the words "We all would have made it through that wormhole if only we had less power."

ViewSonic VP2330WB LCD Review
Driverhaven takes a look at the ViewSonic VP2330WB LCD display

It is amazing how fast things change in the world of PC components. Just 3 years ago I was quite happily running a 17inch screen with an Athlon XP 2600+, Geforce 5800 and 512mb (2x256mb) of memory and even using it as a review system here on DriverHeaven. Now this review system has a dual core CPU and 2 GB of ram, pretty much a standard configuration in the enthusiast community. It is fair to say that many users are still using a CRT with their system, so what exactly can a top of the range TFT bring to the table?

this piece. With three different coolers and clock levels on test, there's plenty to chat about and present.

SilverStone NT04 CPU Cooler Review
Elite Bastards posted a review on the SilverStone NT04 CPU Cooler

Here, we get a nice view of the shiny, gold coloured 80mm fan that cools the NT04's heatsink. This sits just above the heatsink itself, leaving more of a gap than the PIAB cooler does. The bottom of the cooler, as I said above, is fairly smooth, but not perfect... a few imperfections, but nothing a little work couldn't fix. The cooler also comes with TIM (Thermal Interface Material) already applied to the heatsink, like the PIAB cooler.
