Silverstone introduced a compact external water cooling kit, named the Tundra TD01 a while ago, we stress test this silent cooling solution with a hot running P4 as well as a more eco-friendly Celeron CPU. Does it stand a chance against a high end air cooling setup? We'll find out.

EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT KO Review
PC Perspective posted a review on the EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT KO video card

The new EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT KO graphics card performed about how we expected it to: slightly faster than the reference 8800 GT we had tested earlier. In several cases that performance difference was as high as 10-12% on the average frame rate but in other cases the performance gap was something like 5-6%. Results obviously depend on the game title and much of its bottleneck in performance is on the shader units and clock speeds versus the memory system.

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (G92). Synthetic and Gaming Tests
Digit-Life posted NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (G92). Synthetic and Gaming Tests

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (G92) 512MB PCI-E demonstrates phenomenal results almost in all tests. We've never seen a cheaper card outperforming more expensive products still available in stores. NVIDIA has done an impossible thing: it "killed" the 8800GTS (both modifications) and the 8800GTX with one stone.

XFX GeForce 8800GT 512MB Alpha Dog Video Card Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the XFX GeForce 8800GT 512MB Alpha Dog Video Card

When we first sat the XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512MB next to the reference NVIDIA card something just didn't look right. XFX implimented a larger fan and also increased the opening in the cover to let more cool air in. The slits on the sides of the cover have also been increased to improve airflow around the capacitors and other heat producing components. The changes to the cooling really paid off as the XFX GeForce 8800 GT was 15C cooler at idle and 8C cooler at load thanks to the increased airflow. Not bad considering the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog is running overclocked! Our review sample have a core clock frequency of 625MHz and the reference cards from NVIDIA run at 600MHz...

Spire Endo notebook bag review
DV Hardware posted Spire Endo notebook bag review

Spire has three different courier bags: the Viro, Endo and Mojo. The Viro is the cheapest model, this bag costs $80 and is designed for small widescreen notebooks sized up to 14.1". The Endo costs $10 more and is a tad bigger so you can use it to carry 15.4" size notebooks while the Mojo bag costs $100 and can fit large 17" widescreen notebooks. In this review I take a closer look at the 2008 model of the Endo but you could also use this review to learn more about the Viro or Mojo as besides the difference in size all three bags seem to be identical.

In this review PCSTATS is testing out the 19" Samsung Syncmaster 971P LCD display, a sleek glossy black free standing display with great technical specs. The Syncmaster 971P has a bright 250nits luminosity rating, and killer black contrast ratio. Gamers should be happy with its 6ms G-to-G pixel response time, that's certainly quick enough for first person shooters.

Danger Den DD-29XT VGA Water Block Review
3D Game Man posted a review on the Danger Den DD-29XT VGA Water Block

Many might be wondering why spend money on a Video Card with a great cooler only to ripe it off and install an expensive VGA water block. The major reason why is it will cool the GPU and memory substantially better than any VGA cooler on the market. The other reason is noise related. The Radeon 2900XT and 2900Pro Video Cards can be very loud when under maximum load using the cooler. But having a VGA water block installed means it would be completely silent. The Danger Den DD-29XT VGA Water Block it's a perfect option for a HTPC setup or a silent PC build. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.

Intel 45nm Yorkfield Runs On 975X Motherboard
HotHardware.com tested Intel's new 45nm Core 2 Extreme QX9650 processors on the Asus P5W64WS Pro motherboard

We've gotten more than a few inquiries from readers, since we launched our Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 (aka Yorkfield) article, about whether or not the new 45nm quad-core chip from Intel will play nice in legacy motherboards. The party line from Intel is that while technically, Yorkfield quad-core processors are not supported by chipsets like the 975X and P965, some motherboard manufacturers may choose to validate and support the product.
