Dan's Data has published issue 45 of their letters columns

My latest instalment of Dan's Data Letters includes one that I couldn't figure out. Fortunately, my correspondent found the answer himself, so you all get to hear it. Aren't you lucky.

The letters that I _could_ answer concern the increasing expensiveness of video cards, why magnetic stripes on credit cards may scan better if you put the card in a bag, a cheap digital camera, and magnetic doors.
