Overclocked Cafe has posted a new article about Finding a Job in Today's IT World



Only a year or two ago, the IT job market was a seller's market all the way. Companies were hiring like there was no tomorrow, and salaries for IT professionals of even modest skills and talents soared. Much of this was fueled by the same sort of mass hysteria that caused the 'dot com' stocks to climb to unheard of levels not represented by actual value. We all know what happened to many of those stocks. Even stalwart companies like Cisco took enormous hits in their stock price, and wound up laying off some people. So, what once was a seller's market became one for the buyer's. Certainly, there is and will remain a need for good IT people of all flavors. However, it is no longer an easy prospect finding a job, let alone a good one.
