Galaxy S6 hands-on review

With its QHD screen and metal design, this is the smartphone to beat in 2015. The Galaxy S6, is - of course - the sequel to last year's Galaxy S5, which if reports are to be believed, didn't go down well with smartphone buyers, with sales coming in 40 percent lower than Samsung had hoped.

With that in mind, Samsung has taken a fresh approach, and has redesigned the Galaxy S6 from the ground up, no doubt in a bid to compete with the likes of the iPhone 6 and HTC One M9.

HP Spectre X360 Ultrabook Review: Sleek, Sexy, Convertible

HP used the Mobile World Congress event currently taking place in Barcelona, Spain to launch what may be one of the company’s most exciting notebooks ever, the Spectre X360. Like the previous-generation Spectre, the new X360 is a thin and light premium, multi-mode convertible ultrabook , but HP has paid special attention to almost every detail on this new device and improved upon its predecessor in virtually every way. HP worked closely with Microsoft and its hardware partners to choose the right components and optimize the software on the Spectre X360 and the company made some practical decisions with the design and materials used in its construction that have clearly paid dividends on our opinion...

Intel at MWC 2015: SoFIA, Rockchip, Low Cost Integrated LTE, Atom Renaming and 14nm Cherry Trail

After day zero at Mobile World Congress already boasting some impressive releases, Intel tackles their platform on day one on several different fronts. As part of a pre-briefing, we were invited into the presentation where Intel discussed the current state of their mobile portfolio along with looking to the future. The pre-briefing was run by Aicha Evans, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless Platform Research and Development Group, who you may remember was interviewed by Anand in a series of videos back in 2013. Ms. Evans focus stems on the connectivity side of the equation, making sure that Intel’s portfolio develops into a strong base for future platforms.

One of the big elements for Intel is the rebranding of their mobile Atom line of SoCs. Up until this point, all the SoCs were difficult to follow and very similar names such as Z3580 or Z3760.

InWin 703 Chassis Review

In essence the InWin 703 is a small ATX design that has been dressed up with a smart front panel and funky windowed side panel to make it look more exotic than the underlying steel chassis might suggest.

Plextor M6e PCI Express SSD Review

The Solid State drive was revolutionary when it was first introduced but for the past few years, SSD performance has stagnated somewhat partly because of bottlenecking on SATA 3.0 and so many manufacturers instead focussed their efforts on better features such as software enhancements and better security encryption. There has been little uptake on PCIe storage despite the leap in performance due to the high cost in comparison to an SSD. Plextor look to rectify this with their M6e. This PCIe SSD is targeted toward gamers who desire the speed, ease of setup but who don't wish to pay through the nose to get that boost in performance. The M6e, as we shall see satisfies on both fronts.

The Ultimate PC: Only the best and fastest components available, with the appropriate astronomical price tag. You won't be able to assemble a PC better than this. That said, we do stay within reason, so you won't find us recommending for example yottabytes of SSD storage.

Please note: the PC Buyer’s Guide is compiled based on independent component tests performed by Hardware.Info. If no new, superior products are released that should replace one or more of the components, then the component(s) will remain the same as the previous month.
