The concept of having a 3rd party ATi card is fairly new as ATi had been manufacturing cards on their own for quite some time. Now that they have other companies teamed up with them this brings some heavy competition for Nvidia as these companies are converting from Nvidia chipsets to ATi and we see Nvidia losing board partners all the time now.
